Registration
There are still several families who have not registered for next school year. Please do so as soon as possible. If you need or are having problems with your log-in you can contact the school office. Please notify the office if you will not be returning to this school next year as well. Have a wonderful spring break!

First Grade Homework
Please adjust the instructions on the first grade homework packet to fit the spelling pattern/lists that were sent home. Sorry for the confusion.
Dinosaur Predictions
On Friday we went outside and predicted how big some common dinosaurs were with sidewalk chalk. Then we compared our predictions to their actual size. It was great to get some perspective on how big they really were!

Paleontologists
We have been learning a lot about dinosaurs this month and what it's like to be a Paleontologist. We even went on an paleontological dig for "fossils".

The calendar that is posted says Open House is at 5. Originally it had been scheduled for 5, but it is actually from 6-7:30.
A Couple of Important Things...
Some of you are asking about needing a security code when trying to vote on Artsonia. You do not need to make an account (which requires the security code). All you need to do is click on the green button that says "Join Fan Club". Then you will type your name and an email address. Once you receive the email click the link to confirm. Keep voting! We are winning and we'd love to have $100 added to our class account for art, science and banking items for the end of the year!
Also, there are conflicting directions that were sent home with the Character Can Adventure book project. The 10 strips inside should be a summary of the story, NOT a character description. :) Sorry for the confusion.

March Calendar
Here is the March calendar for you to print, download or view full screen. It's hard to believe that there will only 2 or 3 more calendars to post!
Adventure Book Project
Today the next book project went home along with an adventure book this time. Students will need a can with a lid in order to complete this project. Below are the instructions and if you need any of the other piece that go along with project we can provide extras. If you have an extra can and lid at home please send it in for anyone that may have a hard time finding one. Any students that bring in an extra can clip up for that day.
As with all book projects, the two main elements that students will be graded on are if they follow directions and if they put lots of effort and details into their project. These are due the last Friday of March, the 28th, right before spring break. You are welcome to turn them in early if you'd like. Late projects will have a 10 point deduction for each day they are late. Please let us know if you have any questions.

First Grade Spelling List
We just wanted to let you know that we are aware that the word "wharf" is spelled incorrectly on the first grade spelling list that was sent home. It should have an 'h' after the 'w'. :)
