Talent Show

We found out this afternoon that those kids who were interested in performing in the MINI talent show during lunch (they'll know what we're talking about) will be performing tomorrow and Friday.  They do not have to do it if they don't want to, but the duty teachers in the lunch room will be asking for people that would like to perform.  If you're one of these kiddos you may want to bring your music, props, guitar, etc. :)

Online Registration

There are still a few families who have not registered for next school year online.  Please make sure to do so ASAP.  If you know you're not going to return to CRES next school year please let the office know.  Thanks! Discovery Museum

We will be going to the Discovery Museum next Wednesday, April 30th.  We will be leaving right around 9 and will be returning around 1.  All the kids will need to bring a cold lunch on this day. The cost of this field trip is $10 which include admission to the museum along with a special plant lab and the cost of the buses.  A turquoise permission slip is going home today.  Please return this along with the $10 as soon as possible.  Any student who returns their form and money tomorrow will earn a choice between a coupon or homework pass.  Thanks!

Biography Project

A new and improved set of Biography instructions is being sent home today.  I'm sorry for the confusion yesterday.  Please throw away the packet that has the green cover sheet and use the bright orange/pink one that is coming home today.  This has the correct dates and rubric on it.  All of the students must bring their Information Sheets and be ready to present with their notecards on May 16th; however, not everyone will actually present that day.  We will be creating a presentation schedule and sending it home.  This way you can let us know if you'd like to come and watch your child and also know which day to bring any props or clothing that they may be wearing for their presentation.

Biography Project Oops

It's not you, it's me. :) just disregard the biography sheet that was sent home today. I must've pulled sheets from different projects to copy by accident. I'm sorry for the confusion! I'll take a look at it tomorrow and fix it.

Spring Pictures

Book Bags Tonight

We had a day that was not the typical schedule and did not remember about book bags until the last minute.  Due to this some of the kiddos may not have grabbed their bags.  That's okay.  Tonight's a freebie.  :)

A Couple Things...

We hope you had a great spring break! Now that we are back at school it's the last busy blast before summer.  We are learning about fairytales and plants and then will be insects up next! We wanted to let you about two upcoming field trips also.

In a couple weeks we will be taking a walking field trip to a dentist's office (on Monday the 28th).  This will not cost anything and the only preparation needed for this would be to dress appropriately for the weather and to wear good walking shoes.  That same week, on Wednesday the 30th we will be taking buses on a field trip to the Discover Museum.  This was a last minute plan.  Students will have to pay for admission and bus fair for this field trip.  More information about these will be coming home soon including price and chaperoning needs, but we wanted to give you a heads up.

Also, please make sure to send back the spring pictures and/or money for them as soon as possible.  Thanks!!
